Regulars say Saturday night’s crowd was unusually large for Mobile International Speedway. It was the first night for new promoter/manager Rick Crawford and opening night for the 2011 season. Crawford says he wants to keep Saturday night’s momentum going all season.

“It's going to be one of the showplaces in Alabama it's one of the fastest half mile tracks in Alabama and all it needs is a little fine tuning and it could be a showplace for everybody along the gulf coast,” says Crawford.
