Mobile police say a driver hit speeds of 100 miles per hour before giving up.

Mobile police have arrested a driver after a a short police chase.

Police tell news 5 they tried to stop the driver of a 2004 Toyota Corolla about 7:00 p.m. on westbound I-10 at Texas for a traffic violation. But the driver refused to stop.

The driver, a white male in his mid 60's, hit speeds of 100 miles per hour before pulling over just east of the Theodore Dawes exit.
