When sheriff's deputies in Baldwin County arrested Alex Baker and Diana Caudill Thursday night on various charges, the couple's eight pit bulls were left inside the mobile home. The arrests happened on 5th Avenue off Collins Lane near Magnolia Springs in South Baldwin County.

On Friday, several of the pit bulls somehow got out...and began roaming the neighborhood. Animal control officers were called...they were able to round up and catch seven of the dogs but not before causing quite a scare on 5th Avenue.

The dogs were taken to the Baldwin County Animal Shelter near Magnolia Springs where they'll be housed for seven days. Animal control officers say if the owners of the pit bulls aren't out of jail by then, there's a chance the dogs could be put down.
