Is there a crystal meth problem in Baldwin County? We asked Sheriff Hoss Mack that question following the arrests of seven people this week accused of manufacturing meth in Gulf Shores.
On Monday, police in Gulf Shores shut down a meth lab at Highway 59 motel and arrested six people. The night before, a Gulf Shores officer discovered a "rollling" meth lab on a traffic stop and arrested the driver.
Sheriff Mack says there is a meth problem locally, but says thanks to tips from the community, his deputies are making headway in the war against meth.
Drug addiction counselors say meth is the most dangerous...and most addictive illegal drug, often-times leading to jail time or death for the addict.
