A Pensacola armed robbery victim turned the tables on his attackers and fatally shot one of the suspects. It happened early Sunday morning on Mobile Highway near Massachusetts Aveune. Sheriff's deputies say three men approached the victim, pulled a gun and demanded money, but the robbery didn't go as planned for the suspects.
The victim pulled his own gun and fatally shot one of his attackers. Eddie Peterson died on the scene.
Escambia County Sheriff David Morgan says the shooting appears to be justifiable homicide. Morgan says Florida was one of the first states to pass the "Right to Carry" law...which makes it legal for a person to carry a gun and use deadly force to protect themselves.
The two other suspects involved in the armed robbery have been arrested. The men were charged with armed robbery and murder because deputies say they were involved in a crime that ended in the death of their accomplice.
