Former Mobile County Commissioner Steve Nodine plans to hire a polling service to determine whether he should ask for his murder re-trial to be moved out of Baldwin County.
Nodine's attorney, Dennis Knizley, has contacted the University of South Alabama polling service and a pollster out of Florida. Knizley says Nodine will hire a pollster to find out whether there is "prejudice or bias" against Nodine in the wake of his two week murder and stalking trial last month, which ended in a mistrial.
Baldwin County District Attorney-elect Hallie Dixon has said she understands Knizley's concern about finding a fair jury in Baldwin County because of the intense media scrutiny of the first trial.
Knizley says he expects to hire a polling service within the week.
