Neighbors Pull Man From Burning House

»  Comments | Post a Comment

A Prichard man is alive after he was saved from a burning home by his neighbors.

The fire happened in a duplex on Shelton Street just after 3 a.m. Wednesday.

Sam Parker was the only person inside. He was woken up by neighbors who saw the flames. Three men ran inside and pulled him out.

“The man knocked on the door and woke me up because I was asleep,” said Parker.

“I heard a man holler out and we went in there and we couldn't see and so i just told him to keep talking so we could follow his voice and we finally found him and drug him out the house,” said Thaddeus Rush, who ran in to pull Parker out.

No one was hurt in the fire. Firefighters say the cause is under investigation.
