The man police believe killed his neighbor then cut his own tongue to distract detectives, has been charged with the crime. Deputies say Michael Crocker killed Stephen Perret back in 2007 in Citronelle.
Crocker was Perret's neighbor and employer at the time of the crime.
Crocker, 46, was arrested last April on a seven count indictment including tax evasion and perjury charges.
