"I'm so excited it's going to be fabulous!" For Jennifer Berry this is a day she and her family have waited for all year and as soon as the buses roll up, reunions begin.
"I see him. He's the very last person," she says clapping with excitement. The moment Sgt. James Berry steps off the bus military toughness gives way to the realization he is home. "The stress is off and now I got to come back and be a Dad again, a Dad and a husband." For the last year, the 1165th military police company has been in Afghanistan. All are back safe and sound. Berry says it has been a difficult year trying to take care of her two boys and worrying about her husband. "We tried not to watch the news and kept it as positive as we could. We prayed every night." But for 11 year old Alex it was still tough. "I was sad and worried sometime"
This homecoming will be interrupted when the 1165th goes back to Camp Shelby Monday to officially be processed out of active National Guard service.
