»  Comments | Post a Comment

A Bay Minette man has been charged with breaking into several vehicles in the Spanish Fort area.  Officers arrested Evan Nathaniel Smith early this morning in the Bruno's parking lot in Spanish Fort.

Once officers initiated a traffic stop, they discovered several electronic items such as GPS devices, radar detectors and two bookbags that contained laptop computers, cameras, and external computer hard drives.

Investigators say the arrest is expected to close about 20 similar cases that extend over a period of 10 days.  In each of these cases there was no forced entry, and Spanish Fort Police would like to remind citizens to please secure their belongings inside if possible, and always lock their vehicles.
