Several Boats Burglarized on Both Sides of Mobile Bay

»  Comments | Post a Comment

At least a dozen boats have been burglarized at local marina's in the last few weeks.  Police in Fairhope and Mobile say they have received reports of items taken at both the Fairhope Yacht Club and the Alba Club on Dog River.

In Mobile, Kenneth Lackey has been arrested and charged in connection with an incident at the Alba Club. A juvenile was also arrested.

Craig Sawyer with the Fairhope Police Department says between 12 and 21 vessels were possibly boarded, but some of those resulted in nothing being taken or the owner not coming forward to report a theft.

If you know anything about these crimes, call your local police department.
