The Bon Secour Fire Department's Search and Rescue Team is back on the water. On Sunday, Captain Ronnie Parker and his son, Lt. Joey Parker, spent nine hours in the Gulf of Mexico...assisting the Coast Guard in their search for three missing fishermen.
The Parker's found debris from the fishermen's boat yesterday including an ice chest and a pair of shoes. Today..the men are back at, hoping to find Kenneth Boyer.
The men are volunteers, but don't consider themselves heroes. The Parker's say they give up their spare time to help families in need because they enjoy giving back to the community.
The fire department just purchased the rescue boat. In fact, this is the 21-foot Pro Line's maiden voyage.
