Trayvis Minnifield, an Elberta man police say stabbed his landlord nine times with a pair of garden clippers, is still on the run tonight.
Minnifield was last seen leaving the crime scene on C.C. Road near Elberta Monday night. Neighbors tell News 5 they saw Minnifield running into a wooded area behind his mobile home.
Sheriff's deputies say Minnifield got into an argument with his landlord over a rent check, picked up a pair of garden shears and stabbed Gregory Williamson nine times in the back.
Williamson was airlifted to a local hospital. He's in fair condition tonight.
Authorities say Minnifield was in jail last week on a burglary charge, but posted bond just days before they say he stabbed Williamson.
Minnifield has been on the run for more than 24 hours. Call the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office if you know where Minnifield is.
