One person was hospitalized and a home is a total loss after an early morning fire in Stapleton.
This brick home off North Spring Road was fully involved in flames when volunteer firefighters arrived just after seven o'clock Thursday morning.
The homeowner was able to get out but she lost two cats and a dog according to firefighters.
Crews remained on the scene late into the morning extinguishing hot spots.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
