People looking for help with financial matters or oil spill claims have somewhere to go this week. The NAACP is holding a series of gulf financial Counseling Fairs. Representatives from Consumer Credit Counseling Services and other agencies were in Prichard Sunday fielding questions. Organizers say they can help people navigate the sometimes cumbersome claims process.
“We are just here to provide the right information just to really be an advocate we're not promising we can do anything specific other than providing the resources to help navigate that system,” says Lillian Bowie with the NAACP Financial Freedom Center. If you missed today’s session there are three other chances to get answers to financial questions.
