Organizers of the 24th Annual Lillian Mullet Festival made a last-minute menu switch at their big event...replacing mullet with farm-fresh catfish. Sponsors say they made the menu switch as a precaution, because of the oil spill. They didn't want to take a chance of serving oil contaminated mullet.
250 pounds of Mississippi catfish were trucked in for the festival and catfish was "king!" Sponsors say the festival drew record crowds Monday. The festival generated 15-thousand dollars. All of the money will go to local children's charities.
