The bond heading for Carlos Kennedy was held Friday morning at Government Plaza in Downtown Mobile.
A judge denied bond for Carlos Kennedy in the death of 69-year-old Zoa White.
Kennedy was appointed an attorney, Habib Yazdi, who entered a plea for his client of not guilty by reason of insanity or temporary insanity.
The attorney said although there is no evidence to back-up the insanity plea, he just wanted to cover all of the bases just in case.
Yazdi said his client will undergo pyschological evaluations soon.
Kennedy's preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 20th.
Mobile County District Attorney John Tyson wanted Kennedy to stay behind bars under suspicion of murder.
Kennedy is charged with capital murder.
White was killed in her Midtown Mobile home back in July.
