Reaction is coming in to Steve Nodine's indictment.
The commissioner was the talk of the town in Semmes last night.
About three dozen people attended a baseball game Monday night between two Babe Ruth playing in Semmes: the Diamondbacks and the Braves.
And many there were thinking about the indictment of Steve Nodine on murder charges.
In fact, one person we talked to said he saw Nodine at the Mary G. Montgomery spring football game this past weekend and talked to him.
Dee Manuel of Semmes said, "He came in the press box where were. He seemed composed and everything. We hate for him, his family, her family. Its just a bad situation for everybody."
Others had different reactions about whether they were surprised to hear about what happened.
Johnny Cooper of Semmes said Nodine has helped the area.
When asked if he was surprised to hear about the murder charge, Cooper said, "Yeah, really."
Manuel said, "He's done a lot for the ball park. He's been active and put a lot of money into the kids out here."
A woman who didn't want to be identified said, "I didn't know him. I never have seen him or talked to him."
Now, the next questions to answer are what happens to Nodine in the future, and who will be representing Semmes in the future.
