Alabama State Troopers are investigating some weekend accidents that claimed the lives of two people.
The first happened around 6 o'clock Friday night near River Falls. That's in Covington County. Troopers say 55 year-old Daniel Bass was driving on Highway 84when he drove off the right shoulder. He overcorrected causing his pickup to flip. He was partially ejected from the truck.
Bass was taken to a local hospital where he later died.
Troopers say alcohol or speed do not appear to have played a role in the accident. Bass was not wearing his seat belt.
An accident in Choctaw County claimed a Lisman woman's life after she was struck by a car.
It happened on Highway 10 around 12:20 Sunday morning. Troopers say 41 year-old Angela Jordan was trying to cross the highway when a car traveling westbound hit her.
No charges have been filed against the driver.
