A court hearing in Tuskegee has ended on whether a judge should extend his order blocking a raid of the VictoryLand casino by the governor's task force on illegal gambling.
The judge is expected to rule later Monday, while Attorney General Troy King has called a news conference for Monday afternoon concerning the task force.
Task force Commander John Tyson did not call any witnesses at the hearing in Tuskegee. He contends those trying to block the work of his task force did not show they had authority over it.
Tyson also expects King to announce a takeover of the task force, which Tyson plans to challenge before the Alabama Supreme
Court.
King's office has not disclosed what he will say at the 3 p.m. news conference.
