A Final Good-Bye For An Ocean Springs Officer

It's hard to sum up the life of the man who meant everything to his wife Angie Bond.

“I will never every forget him, the time that we had together the two beautiful kids that we have and he is always with me, so even though he may not be with me physically he's here with me no matter what,” says Angie Bond. Officer Stephen bond was killed in a boating accident in May of 2009. Four others on that trip were rescued. Bond’s remains were found in late January. His wife wanted to a special service for him today, 3/20/10.

“Today is all about him and to be able to celebrate his life,” says Angie. Not only was it important to make this a celebration of Stephen's life, but also to mark the fact that he's finally home.

“He's going to be missed but I'm so happy he's home,” says Angie. Police officers from around the Mississippi Gulf coast also attended the Saturday service. Angie bond says her husband meant a lot to her family and his police family.

“He was very proud of his job, proud of his family, well respected in the community and he will be missed,” says Angie.
