Topless Gardener

Topless Gardener

Police say woman wasn't violating law since she wasn't totally nude.

(AP) - Police say Catharine Pierce had on her gardening gloves -- and little else. Officers called on the 52-year-old Boulder, Colo., woman after complaints she was gardening topless. Police add Pierce was wearing a thong, so she wasn't in violation of state law.

An officer suggested Pierce put on a shirt, because children at the school across the street were playing outside. But the days of topless gardening could be numbered. Boulder officials are considering a broader anti-nudity law.
