Mobile Police say they are investigating a shooting that happened around 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the R.V. Taylor housing project.
Police have identified the victim as 26 year-old Christopher Anthino Walters.
Witnesses say they heard multiple gunshots, some sounding similar to an AK-47. Witnesses on the scene also say there was more than one shooter, and that a car sped away after the incident.
One man living in the community described the shooting victim as "ripped apart." The investigation is still ongoing. Police have not released any other details about what happened.
