Special Homecoming for Jeremy Nelson

»  Comments | Post a Comment

U.S. Soldier Jeremy Nelson flew into Mobile Regional Airport from Afghanistan Thursday. It's a day his mother, JoAnne Nelson has been waiting for nearly seven months. "I'm just thankful to God that he's coming back to visit with us for this time, and we're going to do everything possible that we can to make his stay here at home a joyful one", says Mrs. Nelson.

The soldier's first order of business, reuniting with his 3 year old nephew, Jordan. Jordan's daycare prepared all morning to greet their special guest. Jeremy Nelson told reporters, "I think he's happy to see me as much as I am happy to see him". They'll have to enjoy each other's company while they can. In 15 days, Jeremy Nelson returns overseas, but he's proud to serve his country, "big difference from country to country, freedome, but, I'm glad of the job we're doing out there".
