Just say "No" to drugs and "Be Your Best Self" is a message that's hitting the road and going high tech.
The Mobile Infirmary Medical Center unveiled The New DeBakey Drug Education Vehicle.
It will travel to area schools carrying a 12 person theatre, touch screen kiosks, and actual human organs that show students the damage drugs do to the body. It's the brainchild of the late Doctor Ernest DeBakey. His wife is continuing his legacy. Marsha DeBakey, President of The DeBakey Foundation says, "We started 16 years ago with our first vehicle, and we've certainly updated given the technology that's out there today. Children relate to this type of approach I think".
More than 100 thousand children have toured one of the three DeBakey vehicles.
This latest one is designed to last 12 to 15 years.
