Foley Teenager Killed In One-Car Accident

Police say 16-year-old Caitlin Buemi hit a telephone pole on South Juniper Street near Lawson Road and overturned, trapping her inside the car.

Police are investigating a deadly one-car accident that killed a Foley teenager.

According to police, 16-year-old Caitlin Buemi hit a telephone pole Sunday morning on South Juniper Street near Lawson Road. Buemi's car overturned, trapping her inside. Firefighters cut Buemi out of the vehicle and took her to South Baldwin Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

There were no passengers in the car with Buemi.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
