The Coast Guard rescued a jet skier who was missing for more than 10 hours.

Florida Fish and Wildlife contacted the Coast Guard at 6:00 p.m. Monday about a man who had rented a jet ski in Panama City and never returned. Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans launched an MH-65C Dolphin rescue helicopter. They spotted the man around 4:00 a.m. Tuesday. He had run out of gas. String winds forced him to run aground.

The crew hoisted the man into the helicopter and took him to Panama City Airport where emergency medical technicians were standing by.
