The Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office is investigating a murder-sucide.
Around 5:30 pm, a Gulf Breeze a man went to check on his elderly neighbors who he had not seen for a few days. When he went into the house, located in the 3500 block of Hillsdale Avenue, he found the couple dead.
Deputies say the husband and wife, who were in their late 80's, died from apparent gunshot wounds. Their identities are not being released pending notification of their next of kin.
Based on evidence found at the scene, investigators believe the husband shot his sick wife to ease her pain and then committed suicide.
