The remains of a missing officer have been found. Ocean Springs Police Officer Stephen Bond was on board a boat when it capsized off the Mississippi Coast back in May. Four of his friends were rescued near Ship Island. But, there was no sign of Bond until now. Ocean Springs Police say they were notified by the St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana Sheriff's Office Wednesday morning that skeletal remains found Friday were positively identified as Bond's, "we're very happy to be able to bring our comrade and our brother back home. It's a great relief and closure for the family. However, it does remind us of our loss with Officer Bond," said Ocean Springs Police Captain Mike Sweeney. No word yet on funeral arrangements for Officer Bond. But, we're told his family was going to Louisiana to bring Stephen home. Officer Bond leaves behind a wife and 2 young children.
