Baldwin County dignitaries got a first hand look at the LUV prototype tonight in Bay Minette.
It has a V-8 engine, gets more than 45 miles per gallon, and the body is made mostly of sheet metal.
The LUV seats five and has a bed like a pickup truck.
It's powered off natural gas, electricity,and regular gas.
Equipped with dual computers for rear passengers, it's being touted "The Car of The Future."
Baldwin County leaders say building the car in Bay Minette will mean great things for the local economy.
Charles Gruber, Chairman of the Baldwin County Commission, says, "It means a lot to Baldwin County. It'll make Baldwin County a completely different place than what people are used to".
H-K Motors is still looking for funding to build a plant in Baldwin County.
