Hundreds took to the streets of Mobile to celebrate the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
The group marched and sang as they remember Dr. King's dream-- believing it lives on through President Barack Obama.
Today marks the 25th year that the country recognizes the civil rights leader. This holiday is also a day set aside to volunteer and help your neighbor.
So, students and their families from the University of South Alabama put those words to work.
Hundreds rolled up their sleeves and did yard work, painted and helped those in greater need.
If he were alive today, Dr. King would have celebrated his 81st birthday on January 15th.
