A spokeswoman for the Federal Aviation Administration says two people were killed when a small plane crashed in Hancock County.
FAA spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen said Friday's crash happened about 3:45 p.m. and involved an RV4, which is an experimental, light homebuilt craft. She didn't identify the crash victims.
Bergen says the aircraft crashed on a private strip under unknown circumstances. According to the FAA Web site, the aircraft was registered to Randy J. Botts of Perkinston.
Hancock County Sheriff's Department administrator Ronnie Cuevas said investigators were at the scene of the crash in the White Cypress Lakes subdivision in the Leetown community.
