The fire department was called out to 2601 Morningside Drive early Tuesday morning, just before 4 o'clock a.m. with a report of a house on fire. All three people inside the home were able to make it out safely.
The fire appears to have originated in one of the bedrooms and spread throughout the structure including the attic causing an estimated $65 thousand in damage to the structure and its contents. The cause of the fire remains under investigation at this time.
