A state appeals court has upheld the conviction and death sentence of suspected serial killer Jeremy Jones for the 2004 murder of Lisa Marie Nichols.
Jones raped and shot Nichols. He then set her Turnerville home on fire with Nichols' body inside.
“Jeremy Jones was a murdering killer when we sent him to Death Row," said Attorney General Troy King. "He earned the sentence he got. I am pleased that the appeals courts will not interfere with carrying this sentence out. Today, justice was protected.”
Police have linked Jones to at least 10 other murders across the country.
