A Niceville woman is accused of hitting an elderly man with her SUV and then leaving the scene.
The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office says 38-year old Vicky Metrejean hit 73-year old Clarence Brasfield on Scenic Highway 98 Sunday morning near the Sea Oats Motel in Destin. Brasfield was found around 5 a.m. and taken to Sacred Heart Hospital in South Walton County.
Metrjean was later found passed out behind the wheel of her SUV at the gate of Destiny West Subdivision. There was front end damage of her vehicle and a black glove on the front bumper that matched a black glove found at the scene of the accident.
Brasfield was transferred to a Baptist Hospital in Pensacola where he's listed in critical condition.
Additional charges are pending against Metrejean.
