The serene eastern coast of Mobile Bay in Baldwin County is suffering erosion and drainage problems that are getting worse and could cost millions of dollars to fix.
Members of the Baldwin County Watershed Coalition say they have identified 15 major projects that need to be done over the next three years.
Foley environmental manager Leslie Lassiter said those projects were identified from an initial list of about 120 projects.
One of the biggest projects on the priority list is on D'Olive Creek between Interstate 10 and U.S. 90. The total estimated cost of all 15 projects is $3.1 million.
But Lassiter said the final coast could be more. She said the actual cost of the D'Olive Creek project could be more than $1 million.
