Tiger Woods' public apology was a hot topic at Cahall's Deli in Foley. Patty Adcock and Jodie Wofford watched the live press conference on wkrg.com. The women were visibly disappointed in the golfer's scripted apology when he admitted he was unfaithful to his wife.
"I didn't feel it was sincere," says Adcock. "I think emotions come from the heart, not from a piece of paper. It's not for me to forgive him, it's for his wife, but it says something that she wasn't there."
"You couldn't see any emotion," says Wofford. "It was back and forth to the paper, there was nothing there. Like he was reading a speech."
Reaction to Woods' apology was a little different out on the links. Golfers we talked to say the comments were genuine and heartfelt.
"I think it was genuine," says Reb Bailey. "I really do. He's a great golfer. Once he gets through this, he'll be back on the tour."
