If you're stuck in a snow-related accident, first responders have to take it slow too. Accidents like this one along Highway 45 in Citronelle require action by the volunteer fire department. Assistant Chief Mike Dees says snow slows down their response times. He says fire fighters have to put safety first in extreme weather like we saw on Friday. They won't even go over the speed limit.
“We will be taking our time, we don't want any of our people to be jeopardized because of the weather,” says Assistant Fire Chief Mike Dees. Dees says the responded to seven snow-related accidents Friday. All but one had tourists at the wheel.
