Police Investigate Drowning

A 9-year-old boy drowned after he fell off a pier at a Dog River park.

Mobile Police say the boy drowned Sunday afternoon after falling off the dock at Dog River Park. Investigators say he had been fishing with
his brother.

He has been identified as Jevonte Reivas. Police say Reivas was rushed to the University of South Alabama Medical Center where he was later
pronounced dead.

Police say he may have been underwater for as long as 15 minutes. The park used to be named Luscher Park.
