TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Florida State says it will vacate a 2007 bowl victory and 11 regular season football wins, along with dozens more across 10 men's and women's sports, because of NCAA sanctions.
The school announced which wins would be vacated in a memorandum to the NCAA on Sunday. College sports' governing body last month upheld Florida State's appeal of a previous decision to strip the school of victories in which 61 athletes involved in an academic cheating scandal participated.
Also vacated were 22 men's basketball wins in 2006-07, 16 women's basketball victories in that season and six in the next, and several placings in track and field, swimming, cross country and golf.
