The gambling interests in our neck of the woods are pushing their own gambling bill through the Alabama state Senate. Officials with Mobile Greyhound Park and PCI Gaming Authority want to pass what they're calling the "Alabama Bingo Control Act" or "ABC Act", for short. The bill would establish a state gaming commission, tax gaming operations at 28%. The ABC Act also limits the state to eight gaming sites and would grandfather in the six already here.
