Campaign finance reports show the Christian Coalition of Alabama has received donations from political action committees financed largely by gambling interests.

Finance reports from Race PAC show it gave $8,000 to the Christian Coalition last year after receiving donations directly from gambling interests and from other PACs funded largely by gambling interests.

A sister PAC, Watch PAC, reported $4,500 in contributions to the Christian Coalition last year after gambling interests provided money to the PAC.

Coalition Chairman Randy Brinson of Montgomery said his organization did not solicit money from the gambling industry through PACs and the coalition had no way of knowing who contributes to a PAC. He said the coalition won't accept PAC contributions in the future.
