News 5 has learned Marsha Colby pleaded guilty to manslaughter Monday morning. She was set to be re-tried on capital murder charges. Colby was arrested in February of 2005 about two weeks after giving birth to her son Timothy.
Police found his body buried behind Colby's trailer. Colby's attorney claims the baby was stillborn.
She was convicted of capital murder in 2007 and sentenced to life without parole. Later, the Alabama Supreme overturned the verdict.
Today, the judge sentenced Colby to 15 years in prison along with a fine of $1,500.
