Smash And Grab Suspects On The Run

Spanish Fort Police are investigating a smash and grab and they say at lease three men involved in the crime are still on the run. It happened at the BP station on Spanish Fort Boulevard around 1:30 Tuesday morning. Police say the men rammed a stolen van into the business 4 times and were in the process of taking an ATM when officers showed up. The suspects made a run for it and the chase was on all the way into Prichard. They were able to get away but not before one of the suspects lost his britches, "they didn't get anything but a messed up car and they lost their gear bag with their tools in it and one of them lost his pants during the chase," said Spanish Fort Police Investigator, Rick Chenoweth. Investigators believe the same guys are responsible for an August 14th smash and grab at the Greer's on Navco Road in Mobile.
