17-year old Jaden Dry was driving to work on Highway 59 when she was struck by a car entering the highway from County Road 71.

The Foley High School Senior lost control of her car and hydroplaned into oncoming traffic, where she collided with a Birmingham family headed home from the beach.

Summerdale Police Chief Dewayne Riebling says it appears the collision was an accident.

The investigation is continuing. We'll hear from Jaden's family tonight on News 5 at 5:00 and 6:00.
