Drivers can expect more major traffic headaches until at least next month in parts of West Mobile County. Crews are working to complete a roundabout, that will connect five roads in the county. Parts of Dawes Road are shut down because of the construction. Construction was supposed to be completed by the start of school for Mobile County, but weather delays have pushed the expected date of completion to next month.
Now that school is in session, even more traffic is being detoured around Dawes Road, and drivers are frustrated. Mobile County Commissioner Mike Dean says it's not clear whether the project will be completed at the beginning or the end of September.
