As heavy rain pelts Baldwin County and the surrounding area, some people couldn't be happier.
“It's great, I'm a farmer and I need the rain,” says Preston Ryals with a smile. He says the rain is coming at a perfect time. They usually begin spring planting around may first.
“Well it's gotten pretty dry and so hopefully after this rain we can begin planting our spring crops,” says Ryals. I stopped at the Shell Station on Highway 59 in Loxley. This station is where a lot of people fill up before making that last leg of a weekend beach trip. The rain is going to be putting a damper on some plans.
“Probably just get to the condo, kick back and watch a movie,” says Chase Johnson. He’s coming from Birmingham for a weekend in Gulf Shores. If your plans include staying inside watching sports, you've got nothing to worry about, unless the power goes out.
“It ain’t going to affect it too bad, still going to do the same thing, I’m off every weekend so it's pretty straight to me,” says Gabriel Johnson from Bay Minette.
