EADS North America made the announcement today in Washington, D.C. Chairman Ralph Crosby, Junior says the KC45 tanker is already in flight testing trials and would be available faster than its competitor, Boeing. The European Aero Defense Space Company plans to modify its own A-330 freighter along with the KC45 at Mobile's Brookley Field. It could mean as many as 15 hundred high paying jobs at the assembly plant in Mobile and other aircraft related plants and parts operations all along the gulf coast. EADS will submit its bid on July 8th with a decision by the Air Force and the Department of Defense by October.
