Alabama lawmakers are moving ahead with a controversial bingo bill despite a warning from federal investigators.
The House Tourism Committee will take up the measure Tuesday. The committee's debate comes nearly two weeks after federal agents told top ranking lawmakers they found evidence of corruption in the bill.
Despite the FBI probe, Rep. Harry Shiver (R-Baldwin) says he will support the bill in Tuesday's committee meeting. Rep. Joe Faust (R-Baldwin) says he will vote against it.
The Department of Justice will not comment on their investigation.
