Hundreds of parents are looking to cash-in on their kids old stuff. More than 800 waited outside the consignment store Kidz Kloset to sell their children's old toys and clothes. Parents say it's worth the wait. The average person makes more than 100 bucks for their used goods according to a store official.
"I don't really ever have a set amount that I want I just try and get rid of my clothes its kind of a green thing to do, like recycling my clothes, so I feel good about it,” says one of the parents in line, Jo Santa Cruz. Store owners say the large turnout is due to the recession and more people learning about consignment. The store was stocking up today for their September 30th bi-annual sale. No one makes any money until an item is resold. The store and original owner split the profits. Unsold items are picked up by the owners.
